It reminds me of a selfless love — strong and solid, but at the same time easy and light, beautiful to observe.

Open Heart

With Valentine’s Day and Dragobete (a Romanian celebration of love and spring) just a month away, I’ve prepared a series of artworks inspired by the theme of love. My inspiration came from a famous couple who proudly shared that they buy their child a painting every year for his birthday. Their reasoning? What could be more meaningful than giving the gift of art to someone special? And they’re absolutely right! I love this idea of doing the same for our life partners.

The Open Heart Series is about the courage to keep your heart open—or to open it again—after heartbreak. It’s a gentle reminder that while heartbreak can make us wary, the world is still full of kind, loving souls who can restore our faith in connection. Love can be as beautiful as we dare to believe. Each painting captures this emotional journey: the fear of shutting down, the bravery it takes to trust again, and the magic that unfolds when we do. A heart that dares to bloom can become a firework of wild joy, a delicate garden of tenderness, or a peaceful wave of calm.

Commission Work for YOU

I’m wrapping up this year with immense gratitude for everything that happened, everyone I met, and every little dream that came true. That’s why I want to share the story of two major commissions I received.

Commission no 1: A country for YOU

This is my largest artwork yet, aproximatively 1 x 1.6-meter acrylic painting. The canvas, symbolizes a flag, is divided into three sections, each representing a unique aspect of a country’s richness.

The first section depicts the landforms—mountains, plains, and hills—brought to life through bold textures and palette knife techniques. The second showcases the flora and fauna, using vibrant colors and layered brushwork to highlight the natural beauty. The final section celebrates cities and culture, blending abstract shapes and acrylic pencil details to capture the energy of urban life.

Commission no 2: Faith in YOU

After creating and selling a mini version of this piece a few years ago, I received a request to reimagine ‘Faith in YOU’ on a much larger scale. This artwork is a 1 x 1.2 m canvas crafted with mixed media, including acrylic paints, various texture pastes, and metallic leaf. It represents how faith radiates warmth and light, spreading into the cold corners of the world and touching all of humanity.

The Art of War

I am excited to share my latest painting, a 1 x 1 meter piece created with textured paste and vibrant splashes of color.

War holds a personal meaning for me, as I think of dear friends affected by it and humanity as a whole being shattered by such conflicts. Feeling powerless in the face of these catastrophic events, I poured my energy into this piece to cope and not lose myself in despair.

This artwork represents a world unraveling, torn apart by the forces of hate and war. The shades of blue and gold evoke the beauty of our planet, yet they are fractured and fading, as if bombarded and decomposed by conflict. It’s a reflection on how our actions are destroying the wonder we’ve been given. This piece is a call to recognize the damage we’re causing and to choose unity over division before it’s too late. It’s more than a painting—it’s a plea for change.

Sagrada Meets Fibonacci

Genesis

Genesis is a visual symphony of techniques I’ve mastered over time. This work captures the primordial chaos that marked the beginning of the world, where creation and destruction danced in unison.

Sanctuary of Hidden Light

Sagrada 3.0

…the story behind the obsession!

When I first visited Barcelona, I didn’t expect it to change my view on art as much as it did. But seeing the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and other works of art by Gaudí, opened my appetite for what I call “puzzle painting”.

Those of you who have visited the cathedral and were lucky enough to see it on a sunny day will know that the energy is absolutely magical. I could stay there for hours staring at the light breaking through the stained glass windows. That is when I knew that if I could only catch 1% of that magic on my canvas, I would be able to bring the divine into this world.

I ended up working 1 year on my first Sagrada. Not as long as Gaudi, but similar to him, I’ve poured my soul into every corner of the composition. What does Sagrada 3.0 bring new to the table? A different technique that allows me to finish the painting in less time, a second layer of canvas for a 3D effect and the blackest black resin to remind you that even in your darkest moments, there is still magic inside of you.
